Hamlin Park Plant Walk

Hamlin Park, 166 South Grove St., East Aurora

In western NY, our backyards are teeming with wild plants that are nutritious, safe, and even medicinal. Community Herbalist Sarah Sorci will lead this leisurely walk on the grounds of Hamlin Park in East Aurora (166 S Grove St). We will learn to identify a range of wild local plants that are safely edible and/ or medicinal. We will discuss the properties they contain, and ways each plant has traditionally been used. We will also discuss safety considerations when harvesting wild plants.

Meet at the Roycroft Pavilion at the north end of the park. Rain or shine, except in the case of thunderstorms. Thunderstorm alternate date: Tuesday, July 17th.

Pre-registration through Creative Wellness is required. Sarah will not have the ability to take payment or registrations on site. Please visit Creativewellnessgroup.com/workshop-registration or call 716-714-9347 to register.
