Educational workshops are the bread and butter of Sweet Flag Herbs. In western New York, there is an abundance of medicinal and edible plants growing in every lawn, sidewalk crack, and wooded area. Sarah offers workshops about identifying, sustainably harvesting/cultivating, and making concoctions with these plants.

Wild medicinal plants abound in western NY, and spring is an excellent time to encounter many. In this hands-on workshop, Community Herbalist Sarah Sorci will focus on self-heal, chickweed, violet, galinsoga, red clover and mullein. Learn detailed information about their properties, identification, and how to harvest sustainably and respectfully in urban areas.

Each participant will craft an herb-infused oil for topical use.No experience necessary.

Cost is $30, which includes all supplies, samples and handouts.
