Sarah’s first love is growing medicinal & edible plants. She has worked for several organic vegetable & herb farms, and coordinated a community gardening and gardening education program in Dunkirk, NY. Sarah worked for three seasons at Lockwood’s Garden Center in Hamburg, specializing in herbs, perennials, and native plants. She teaches classes at Lockwood’s and several continuing education programs, focusing on cultivation and use of medicinals and edibles.
Sarah loves working with clients to select garden plants that are beautiful, useful, and beneficial to the local ecosystem. She will meet with you at your property to:
Identify the edible and medicinal plants already growing whether wild or cultivated. Chances are, there are many!
Discuss new plants to add to the property, considering your goals for the space and your wellness goals.
Offer a detailed follow-up email summarizing the plants we discussed, and offering recipes and suggestions for utilizing these plants
Initial consultations are $95, and typically last two hours depending on the size of property.
Follow-up consultations are $45 for a 30-60 minute visit.
Additional travel fee may be added depending on distance from Hamburg..
