Orchard Park Community Education: High School.

 $16.00. Pre-registration required: visit www.opschools.org/Page/107

Adaptogens are a category of herbs used to support vitality, energy, and long life. Modern research demonstrates their ability to modulate the stress response in the body, helping to support a range of body systems. Herbs like ashwagandha, eleuthero, holy basil and reishi mushroom each have unique properties. Which adaptogens are right for you?
In this class, Community Herbalist Sarah Sorci will explain what qualifies an herb as an adaptogen, and cover several herbs in detail. We will discuss properties that support immunity, mental clarity, digestion, sleep, and more. We will also discuss safe (and tasty!) uses of each plant.

Sarah will offer tips for easily cultivating these herbs at home. Participants will sample formulations, and Sarah will offer holy basil seeds to every participant.
