Educational workshops are the bread and butter of Sweet Flag Herbs. In western New York, there is an abundance of medicinal and edible plants growing in every lawn, sidewalk crack, and wooded area. Sarah offers workshops about identifying, sustainably harvesting/cultivating, and making concoctions with these plants.

Wild edible and medicinal plants abound in western NY. In this class, Community Herbalist Sarah Sorci will discuss plants commonly found in our backyards. Learn how to safely identify and use herbs like self-heal, burdock, dandelion, red clover, yarrow, bee balm and more. We will discuss safe and sustainable harvesting, as well as sample herbal preparations.
